Full GPS Release
Studio Team begins to release full GPS data (waypoints & trackpoints) for all foothills parks today. Prior to today, GPS data (for our older foothills park releases) was limited to waypoint data only. Now visitors will see trail lines in addition to the landmarks. Today's release will be for Deer Creek Canyon Park & Betasso Preserve Park. In the days that come, we will be releasing more park areas until all of our original foothill park releases have both waypoint & trackpoint data.

Monarch Lake Loop
Monarch Lake Loop is a great day trip for snowshoeing and cross country skiing. It is a 5.64 miles round trip journey but its not terribly taxing as the terrain is relatively flat. It has great views around the lake plus a winter paradise in the trees. The survey team listed this area as one of their favorites due to the variety of scenery and lack of motorized vehicles... A definite must see for a casual trek in the snow. Check out the free map and virtual tour at BigDaddyMaps.comAnne U White
Studio Team introduces Anne U White Park... This is a short fun snowshoe in the winter and a nice pretty short hike in the summer. The entire journey is spent in Fourmile Canyon so there is good protection from the wind... but watch the stream levels during hard rains. Check out the new map and virtual tour for this park at BigDaddymaps.com
Cave of the Clouds Map Posted
BigDaddyMaps.com proudly presents "Cave of the Clouds"... Although somewhat hard to find, the survey team did a great job locating and charting Cave of the Clouds. Using our most advanced technology yet, our new cave map includes an elevation profile for the interior of the cave. As with our other cave offerings, we included a virtual tour for Cave of Clouds on the website... Check it out!!!

Spring Cave... The Return
September 3rd 2009...
Survey Team returns to Spring Cave to continue their survey. Equipped with rafts and wetsuits, they attempted to breach beyond the "Jaws" feature in the "Water Passage". Unfortunately, the water proved to be too cold and the team was not able to apply the proper safety measures to continue. Despite the setback, the team was able to see what was beyond "Jaws" and they now have enough information to plan another return trip. In addition to surveying the "Water Passage", the Survey Team performed additional mapping at Jones Beach and pushed beyond the "Bowl Room" thanks to a certain Doctor friend of the company. All in all, it was a successful, exciting, and tiring trip. The Studio Team plans to update the Spring Cave Map by mid Fall of 2009.

Wheeler Geologic Site
August 13th 2008... Survey Team goes to Wheeler Geologic Site:
The Survey Team had seen many pictures, of this area, prior to going but those images simply did not do this place justice. The unique rock formations lent to an entire day of site seeing, exploring, and picture taking. It was hard to pick a favorite rock formation.

July 4th and 5th 2009...
The Survey Team returns to the 10th Mountain Division Hut System to resume its survey. During this trip the Survey Team mapped out the ski routes and the Colorado Trail near the Continental Divide Hut which is located near Tennessee Pass. There is much to do in this area and so the Survey Team plans to make many return trips.
